Guilford Gatsby

The homeowners, empty nesters with young grandchildren and pets, wanted a comfortable place to hang out that would be chic without being untouchable.

In the living room, subtle nods to the Art Deco style abound. Diamond patterns in the chair fabric and tile backsplash of the bar, the bird motif on the throw pillows, and stepped corners of the console table and cabinet doors work in concert to create an atmosphere of relaxed glamour.

In the foyer, we delivered the “wow” factor that the homeowners desired upon entering their historic home with a dramatic wallcovering. The stylized white water lilies on the black field of the wall along with the complimentary staircase runner are both impactful and serene. The design was punctuated by the oversized bronze chandelier which provides just a touch of bling that the space needed to pull it all together.
